My Writings This Month
More than I Actually Thought!
I never write as much as I hope — does anyone? — but I did publish more than I thought I had.
It began with Summer’s Roses, a response to a challenge posted by on Weeds and Wildflowers. Of course, June is winter here and my roses have long faded, but I can still remember their beauty.
Then I dabbled with poetry: The Empty Hours, A Touch of Finger Lime (whisky might make an appearance), Unseen and That First Morning (recalling the first few hours of a visit to Rome).
In the next few weeks I plan to publish my next book of poetry.
Finally, only one article about travel (although I published more on my blog Musings of A Witch Doctor).
The Madonna of the Vegetable Garden tells of a statue initially overlooked in Venice (for being too fat!) until the miracles she performed could not be overlooked. Now she resides in what was Tintoretto’s local church — ten of his works are on display, another reason to visit!
